Baby Girl Card

Hi Everybody,

This lovely card was created using the plaid background and on this one I have added in some fine hand drawn lines in a slightly darker shade.

I think the end result is lovely and because it is for a baby girl I added in some flowers.

Mind you, you can always add flowers to a baby boys card as I have never heard a baby complain about flowers on a male card !!!!

I have added the oval to an embossed panel as I think that pattern in the background stops the card from looking too plain.

The oval itself has been added with foam pads to give some depth and you would need to make a box for this style of cards. But if you have the 5x7 Complete Card & Box Die Set then that would be no problem.

Baby Christening card

Hi Everybody,

This card was featured in a magazine article last year and I was really pleased with the end result.

It was done with the Card Making Magic Collection dies especially for Babies brought out in 2017/18

I used the Nesting Rectangles to create the card base and then embossed it in the Basket Weave folder

The Nesting Ovals gave me the topper shape and the Baby Occasion dies provided the rest.

So with very little work from me I have a pretty card ready to send. Just die cutting and a little bit of colouring and the card was done

Tonic Studios - Zip & Buttons

Hi Everybody,

This pretty baby card is created with the dies from Tonic Studios and it is such an innovative little die set that you can have loads of fun with

It is called Zip and Buttons  and I really enjoyed playing with this set.

I used card some of the Spotty card from AnnaMarie Designs and created a little jacket with the zip and Wild Orchid Crafts Guipure some lace

The sentiments is also from Tonic and is one of the New Baby Collection and I have cut mine in silver to add to the card

I am sure that you can come up with even more ways to use this simple concept  on your own cards and have lots of fun in the process

Labour of Love ...

Hi Everybody,

All these Baby Shower cards have been made for my Grand-Daughter Robyn  who is expecting her first baby in May

I am going to be a Great Gran again and we know that this new baby is a boy.  Four year old Isabella is my first Great Grand-Daughter so one of each ... so far !!

I made forty of them for her to invite her friends to her baby shower and I will add them all to envelopes and box them as my gift to her.

I have used the Wild Thing  stamp set from Clearly Besotted and I also have the matching die that I used to cut them all out.

I have used the same white card from Papermill Direct for my top fold base card and the Blue spotty card from AnnaMarie Design

The  New Baby stamp is also from Clearly Besotted and there is a matching die to buy separately

All the images have been stamped and water coloured and then die cut to fit the oval shapes

There is variation in the lace added around the layers and I have dotted the pearls  from Want2Scrap differently on the cards too.

I only used three of the animals from the set and to each of the giraffes I have added googly eyes.  The lion and tigers have Glossy Accent noses.

I have to say I am really happy with the way these cards turned out and it was a labour of love indeed as it took me two full days to get them done

And I am pleased that Robyn was delighted with them as well ... Job done!

Baby Card Tutorial ...

Hi Everybody,

This cute card is ideal and is so easy to make and in the video we will create our own template to be saved and used over and over again.

It is all hand cut and there is not a die cut in sight ... so anybody can make it easily.

If you have lots of invites to baby showers to make then this would be ideal ... or as a card to welcome a new baby into the world.

Every part of this card to the left is hand cut and the video takes you step by step through it all so you can get the look you want.

I hope you enjoy it and the finished card will fit into standard size envelope so no extra postage costs either.
